    •    Reflection: My paralyzed arm and missing leg limit my physical reach, but my entire remaining body lunges into the canvas to strike these black marks. Franz Kline used structural black bars to claim space; I use them to anchor my survival. The stark black paint is the unyielding fact of my trauma. The white space is the breathing room I fought eight years to reclaim.
